Search for Young First Aiders of the YearSt John Ambulance is seeking nominations for young people who have used first aid to save a life or help an injured person for its annual Young First Aider of the Year awards. Bravery rewardedOpen to anyone under the age of 18, the award recognises young people who have acted quickly, calmly and effectively in a real emergency. Life saving actionsLast year's 10 medal winners included a 13-year old girl who gave vital first aid to a 20 month old baby who was choking and a 16-year old boy who cared for a child who had suffered head injuries in a traffic accident.
