The 'shock absorbing' capabilities of these revolutionary knee pads are achieved by nylon tensioning strings threaded through and suspended in the space behind the transparent knee cap. This creates an air cushion to absorb pressure and movement and makes these knee pads very comfortable. On the inside is an additional curved foam cushion which fits around the top of the knee. Fastening arms are angled to help stop chafing and skin irritation behind the knee.
